Personal Oracle Requirements
----------------------------

The new Personal Oracle for Windows 3.x comes on CD and contains the following
Oracle components:

 - Oracle7 RDBMS
 - Oracle7 database administration tools
 - SQL*Plus
 - Oracle Objects for OLE
 - Oracle7 ODBC driver

A complete installation of all the above along with online documentation
requires approximately 70 MB of disk space. However, the components can be
installed selectively with the following requirements:

Component Disk Space
--------- ----------
Win32s 2 Mb (essential)*
Database 45 Mb
 + on-line help files 10 Mb (optional)
Database utilities 3 Mb
Sql*plus 1 Mb
Oracle Objects for OLE 6 Mb
Oracle ODBC driver 1 Mb
                       ----------
               Total : 68 Mb

Oracle recommends at least a 486SX/25Mhz machine with 16 Mb of memory.

The Oracle7 process itself is approximately 5 Mb in size. In addition to this,
Oracle requires the use of a System Global Area (SGA) which, by default, is
about 4 Mb in size but is configurable via the database startup parameters.

(*) - Personal Oracle requires the installation of win32s which is a 32 bit
windows api subsystem. Win32s is supplied on the Personal Oracle CD
